Cafe Zero and other community catering projects like Elsie’s, were run by our talented team of volunteers, who produced a range of delicious hand cooked meals using our surplus supplies.
Sadly, all sites were closed by our landlord during the pandemic.
The team decided that just one new cafe would reopen when we could and at a new location; sharing premises for such enterprises was always challenging but was even more difficult under post Covid protocols.
We are grateful to the chefs who have given us recipes to share in the store and online and we do still run talks and demonstrations.
The Headlands hub is part of an exciting and much bigger project to redevelop the site for the community and we hope that a cafe will be on the site as part of this.
