Cafe Zero and other community catering projects like Elsie’s, were run by our talented team of volunteers, who produced a range of delicious hand cooked meals using our surplus supplies.

Sadly, all sites – including Shop Zero Kettering – were closed by our landlords during the pandemic. Even for sites that might have re-opened, the protocols made the projects very hard to reinstate.

The management team decided, with regret that we would wait to re-open a cafe at a later stage. The focus needed to be on restoring the community shop and food distribution.

We are grateful to the chefs who have given us recipes to share in the store and online and we do still run talks and demonstrations.

The Headlands hub is part of an exciting and much bigger project to redevelop the site for the community and we hope that a community cafe might be on the site as part of this.
