bags of good

Foodkind CIC couldn’t run without our wonderful teams of volunteers, who were recognised in the Local Food Hero Awards 2022.

Our projects are run by people with diverse backgrounds and life experience. As well as wanting to save good food from going to waste, it can be a great way to get work experience – or gain confidence as a stepping stone back to work.┬áSome of our shop assistants not have jobs in major retailers and trainee chefs now work in the area’s top restaurants.

All our volunteers receive an induction and training – including food hygiene – and we have a training co-ordinator tasked with helping develop all our staff to explore how their roles can be expanded.

With the help of Voluntary Impact, we are now recruiting people to help us with our collections, in our shop, cafes or in setting up a new project. Please fill in the form via the link above and we will have a chat. For those who do not have regular times to volunteer, we also welcome help with our events. You can click the link below or email, or access the volunteer form on this site.
