Foodkind C.I.C is delighted to announce that Kathryn White is joining our not-for-profit organisation as Executive Chair.

Kathryn has over thirty years’ experience in the charitable sector and will lead the Board of Directors.

She’ll also be supporting the dedicated staff and volunteers who run our community shop, emergency parcels and food redistribution projects in Northampton.

Kathryn is a former C.E.O of Growing Together (and its successful nursery in Blackthorn). She chairs Young Northants and has advised other charities. She will bring invaluable knowledge to help develop Foodkind C.I.C, which shares food with hundreds of people a month.

We are grateful to Phil Beale, who was Chair while managing a hugely demanding professional life. He will move to Director (Finance).

Kathryn is already a familiar face in the Foodkind Hub since we moved to The Headlands; she even appeared in a video about our collaboration with her former charity.

We relocated to Headlands from St. James over three years ago and created a new base in a former church. It is thanks to the generous offer of the site, and support, by United Reformed Church that we continue to flourish there.

We have the space needed to store the surplus food we collect from supermarkets and wholesalers; preventing waste and providing for the community.
